Pikes Peak International Raceway, located in Fountain just south of Colorado Springs, is Colorado’s premier venue for cultural music and motorsports. The site is open to the public year-round, hosting a variety of festivals, concerts, and performance driving programs. The 1,300-acre property includes a banked, one-mile oval, 1.3-mile road course, ⅛-mile drag strip and multi-functional meeting spaces.

Media Credential Types:

Amateur Pass: The Amateur media pass allows amateur or new media personnel, access to designated Media areas on the property. This pass is meant for individuals looking to gain motorsport and trackside experience. Amateur Media will be required to purchase a General Admission ticket for any events through event ticket links. All media must be 18 years or older. DTE ASCEND is the only event in which all Media; both amateur and pro, is required to purchase a Media Pass Ticket. ONLY this Media Pass Ticket is required.

Professional Pass: The Professional media pass allows media personnel, access to designated Media areas on the property, including on track access. This pass is meant for media planning to re-sell image packages or footage for commercial use. If you are a Drone or FPV Operator, you will be required to provide proper documentation (Insurance, Licensing, etc.). Drone and FPV spots are limited. If approved, you will be required to provide PPIR with media captured at the event. It is highly recommended that Professional Media obtain a spotter for events. Please provide media within 10 days after the event. You will receive free entry into applicable events. All media must be 18 years or older.
DTE ASCEND is the only event in which all Media; both amateur and pro, are required to purchase a Media Pass Ticket. ONLY this Media Pass Ticket is required. A General Admission ticket is not necessary for DTE ASCEND Media.

Press Pass: The Press Pass allows media personnel General Admission access to events. This pass is meant for individuals that have been hired by a publication or company to cover a PPIR event. Each individual from your media outlet must fill out an application. All media must be 18 years or older. DTE ASCEND is the only event in which all Media; both amateur and pro, are required to purchase a Media Pass Ticket. ONLY this Media Pass Ticket is required. A General Admission ticket is not necessary for DTE ASCEND Media.

If you would like to attend an event as media or to capture content, please fill out and submit a media application for review and approval.

Please apply to each individual event below by clicking the Media Application “Apply Here” button on each event image. Please note that PPIR is not responsible for media applications for Drift Colorado, SLUSH, Modded Kulture SCCA or any other renter event. Applications for these specific events must be submitted directly through Drift Colorado, SLUSH, Modded Kulture, SCCA, etc.

Media Applications will close the Monday before each event. DTE ASCEND is the only event in which all Media; both amateur and pro, are required to purchase a Media Pass Ticket. ONLY this Media Pass Ticket is required. A General Admission Ticket is not necessary.

Please not: DRIFT CLINICS & SUMMER OFF THE STREETS will not be open for media applications. Media is welcome to these events but must purchase a General Admission ticket and stay in the spectator areas. Media locations will not be open during these track days.

** All media for SLUSH, Modded Kulture, Drift Colorado, SCCA, and other renter events must be submitted to the respective event coordinator. **
